Chinese New years starts on February 8th and ends on the 22nd of 2016. Chinese New Years is based on the Lunar Calendar which is the longest holiday of China. On the 2016 it will be the year of the monkey. They make parades, dance, eat and have a great time with family. I think this is a really fun a great holiday to celebrate.

                              China is known for their beautiful buildings, Statues, and monuments.
 Their buildings are tall big and beautiful with powerful colors especially red because red represents richness and power so they use it a lot, it is even on the Chinese flag. China's buildings are very different from other buildings everywhere else its has roofs that go kind of like a curve and go up high and sharp just like on the picture above. People all over the world go just to go sight seeing and look at the beautiful creative buildings. In the buildings there is a lot of art on the walls with very specific detailing. The walls also have Chinese characters that say motivating or positive things. The buildings are mostly made out of marble, wood, stone and cement. Also a lot of the buildings are very old and ancient and has a lot of history to it. These buildings are from 100 to 1000 years old, that is a long time. I think these buildings  are very unique and beautiful. It's very creative and lovely!!!

China is the fourth largest country in the world with 1,401,586,609 people as their population having the highest population in the entire world. Since the population is very high China had made a new law were each couple can only have one child so the population wont keep increasing so much like  is already. I don't really agree with this but at the same time I do because the more people the less jobs and there would be a lot of homeless people but couples should have as many kids they would like and be happy. Their Capital is Beijing. The president of china is Hu Jintao which he was elected March 15, 2003. China is known for their pandas and Mountains and hills. One of The biggest Mountains is located by China Called Mt. Everest. I personally think this is one of the greatest countries because everything comes from china to clothes to phones to even food. The U.S has companies in china since they have more of the materials there and can make the stuff better there.

China is also known for their Chinese cuisine from Chow Mein, to Dumplings, Shrimp fried rice, Wonton, Spring rolls, Sweet and sour chicken and many more delicious plates. In China they use chopsticks instead of forks and spoons. Most of their foods have vegetables and is healthy. Chinese food has to do a lot with their population growth because since the food is healthy the people would have a longer life expansity and live longer. Chinese food is really good and has lots of delicious flavors all in one plate.
One of the most world famous monuments is in China. It is the Great wall it is 21,196 km long and people from all over the world go to visit The Great Wall. It was built in c. 206 BC so it is 2,220 years old. It is made of pure brick and stones and took a very long time to built. The Great Wall symbolizes Chinas strength and power of their country. The Great Wall was built to keep enemies and invaders away from China so they can be protected. The Great Wall is one of the greatest buildings ever and has so much history, It help so much with winning wars.
